About Me

  

Maya Sharma is a 11th grade student at Eastside Preparatory School in Washington State. She has won several prizes in science, math, essay writing, and arts at school, state, and national competitions. Maya loves to travel globally, read books, play piano, and spend time with her friends. Maya has been writing for her school newsletter since 4th grade. She has tackled the topics of technology, automation, diversity, politics, and gender equality in her columns. She won first place in a state-wide essay competition organized by World Affairs Council. Her essay on “Strategies and Solutions to solve the Global Water Crisis” focused on strategies that every community can embrace. She is the captain of her school’s robotics team.
